The experiential retail interior for the latest Browns Fashion store located in East London was developed by Brinkworth. Designed to create an intriguing and playful environment that will establish a bold new blueprint for the future of Browns Fashion. The space was treated as a series of installations, by placing sculptural forms within the open nature of the building with a delightful, elegant collection of materials, finishes and colour that adorn the overall concept.

Light weight substrates were digitally fabricated to manage the variable forms and drive efficiency of both design time and material usage. The substrates needed to provide a core for a variety of material types ‘Sheet Metal, Cork, Solid Surface, Recycled Plastic, Wood and Marble’ and provide positive connections between each interlocking element.

The realized concept of bold geometric forms with depth of texture, reflectivity and transparency was a resounding success. The combination of materials and the variable sizes made the weight and stability an engineering challenge. The resulting pieces were easily handled to allow for the reinterpreting of the space on a regular basis in spite of the historic and un even BBC studio floor.
